JOTA Design specialises in the design development and manufacture of road, race and rally projects. Knowledge and experience gained through competition is directly translated into all the projects that Jota Design is tasked with, from major OE projects for the likes of Mazda through to an individual’s vehicle performance enhancement

Mazda MX-5 GT

In 2010 Jota Sport on behalf of Mazda Motors UK ran two virtually production specification MX-5's in the Silverstone 24 Hours. The agility, performance and economy of the near standard MX-5 embarrassed some fairly serious racing machinery.

Following on from this result Mazda Motors UK commissioned Jota Design to build and develop an out and out MX-5 racing car to the FIA GT4 regulations. 1500 man hours later the MX-5 GT was born, capable of competing with the likes of BMW, Lotus and Ferrari whilst maintaining its distinctive MX-5 looks.
